The conditions of Angelica Farina, 26 years old, are improving, the girl from Orune, mother of the three-month-old baby, Alessandro Zamatretta Delgado, who died in the terrible accident which occurred yesterday afternoon on State Road 125, near the junction for Cala Ginepro, in the territory of Orosei.

According to what we learn, the young woman has already left the hospital in Sassari, where she had been admitted. However, the conditions of a 32-year-old fellow villager remain serious: she is in intensive care, with a reserved prognosis. The health status of a second friend, 45 years old, who was kept under observation at Olbia hospital, is less worrying.

The three women were on board a Fiat Panda (mother and child in the back seat, the thirty-two year old in the passenger seat) when, according to the reconstruction of the police, during a turning maneuver they were hit head-on by a Volkswagen Golf driven by a motorist from Galtellì, who remained unharmed. Little Alessandro was thrown out of the car: he was already dead when the rescuers arrived.

The crash occurred in the same place where Luigi Fancello, 33, from Dorgali, lost his life in 2019: he was in the car, with a friend next to him, and was coming from Cala Ginepro to get onto the 125, while another vehicle was arriving. He died in hospital.
