The event which on Tuesday 5 March (6pm) at the Vecchio Mulino in Sassari will celebrate the 94th birthday of the Sassari writer who died 5 years ago is entitled " Happy Birthday, Toti ".

From "Procedure" to "Snuff", from "Corpus" to "Ashes and Ice", from "Testaments" to "Job". There are many pages of Salvatore Mannuzzu in the hearts of readers. His death, five years ago, interrupted a dialogue that the Sassari-born author conducted for thirty years with his novels, poems, essays and passionate interventions on various occasions, testimony to an indomitable civil commitment that also materialized in the experience of being a parliamentarian for three legislatures.

It is precisely by appealing to this "private" relationship with readers that a group of them wants to remember Mannuzzu with an original initiative: anyone will be able to read in public a passage of his works lasting approximately five minutes. By bringing with you a photocopy of the text, it will compose a "mosaic" that will testify to the city's affection and gratitude towards the writer. A "Mannuzzzu compilation" will play in the background with the many music and songs mentioned in his books.
