Read in Cagliari: "Electorate disappointed by the center-right council, it's an advantage for us"

The Pd secretary has arrived in Cagliari for his electoral stage in Sardinia, which will see him busy in the afternoon and in the evening also in Sassari.

"I am particularly happy to be in Cagliari, Sardinia plays a fundamental role in this electoral campaign ", he said during the press conference in the regional headquarters of the Democratic Party in via Emilia.

"From here I launch the challenge for an electoral campaign that in Sardinia is deeply linked to some very important regional issues, this vote comes at a particular moment in which the island hopes in the next legislature to see the principle of insularity correctly applied ", he continues the secretary dem.

Insularity that only makes sense " if there are resources behind it ", which means "compensation, a recovery from the difficulties that Sardinian citizens have always had on all matters of daily life". An insularity which, therefore, must be concretely declined and must not remain only on paper.

The electorate of the island, added the dem secretary, "is disappointed by the policies of the center-right junta , in particular on health care". And “the fact that it has been badly administered gives our candidates an advantage, all the single-member constituencies here are contestable and this is already significant. Here we see the possibility of an important victory, both in Rome and Cagliari for 2024 ”.

Letta also visited the headquarters of L'Unione Sarda and before the press conference met with representatives of the LGBT community on the Poetto seafront. Meeting that comes a few days after the blitz, also in Cagliari, of the protester with the rainbow flag at the rally of the FdI leader Giorgia Meloni.

“ I listened with fear to their concerns , because they are fears that can extend to all of Italy. The right will tell them enough, because they already have civil unions, without considering that Italy is behind in this field and not taking steps forward is also wrong ”.

On the reforms and on Giorgia Meloni's proposal of a Bicameral, Letta explained: "If we win, we too would like to discuss reforms of the Constitution together with the others, but ours will be reforms of the non-central parts of the Constitution . opposition. The Charter in its central part must be safeguarded for what it is because it works " .

In his rally in Piazza del Carmine, Letta also attacked the health management of the Solinas junta , then asking the crowd to applaud the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza.

SOLINAS - Governor Christian Solinas replied tightly to Letta's words on the "disappointment" of Sardinian voters for the work of the center-right regional council: "On 26 September I will offer them a coffee to comment on the vote and to check who had eviction from voters . Maybe Letta will discover that he and his associates have received it ".

Even the councilor for health Mario Nieddu replied to the dem leader : "Probably Letta has forgotten that it was his party and the left in the government of the Region, in the previous legislature, that left the health of the island in ruins ".
