There will also be – barring any surprises – a Cagliari team at the next World Cup, scheduled to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11th to July 19th. Yerry Mina has been included in the (long) list of 55 pre-called Colombia players, with coach Néstor Gabriel Lorenzo then having to choose the final list of 26. This is more good news, after his recovery from injury ahead of the Turin match .

Joining Mina from Serie A are Juventus' Juan Cabal, Pisa's Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, and Bologna's Jhon Lucumí . Placed in Group K, Colombia will play against Uzbekistan on June 17 in Mexico City, the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Zapopan on June 23, and Portugal on June 27 in Miami.

While awaiting the final squads, Mina becomes the first Cagliari player included among those eligible for the World Cup . He has 52 appearances and 8 goals for his national team: he already played in the final phase of the 2018 World Cup, in Russia, where curiously he scored in each of his three appearances.
