It is called "Limba e identidade", the project of the "Camillo Bellieni" Institute of Studies and Research of Sassari which will involve the municipality of Pozzomaggiore in the leading role, but which will also involve the neighboring centers of Cossoine, Bonorva, Mara and Padria.

The initiative includes a series of language help desk activities, for a total duration of 520 hours under the guidance of operator Lucia Sechi. Two basic and intermediate level language training courses will then take place, each lasting thirty hours. The linguistic promotion activity will be extended to two initiatives in which Sardinian will act as the target language. The first is new: an experimental archeology laboratory conducted by archaeologists Giuseppina Ruggiu and Maria Laura Melas, which will involve all the municipalities and will be documented through short videos. The second is a creative writing workshop entitled “M'ammento chi in bidda”, led by Adriana Cocco, which involves the involvement of elderly people or other bearers of historical memories who will make themselves available to share them with the children. The elaboration of the texts will follow the phases of verifying the testimonies.

«As mayor I am proud to have contributed to this great project of the Bellieni Institute – stated the mayor of Pozzomaggiore, Mariano Soro -. As a Municipality, I immediately made everything necessary available for the success of the activities. I am very satisfied with everything that has been done so far, collaborating excellently with the late Is.Be scientific director Michele Pinna, and I am sure that the collaboration will continue equally profitably, proud to be the common leader for the upcoming projects. The population has been delighted with the work carried out so far, and this is thanks to the professionalism acquired in the field by Bellieni in the Sardinian territory and, in this case, in my country".

Collaborations with libraries are also planned, through entertainment activities and immersive meetings in the language and culture of Sardinia with a historical and literary character. Cooperation with the Bonorva Unitre will be implemented. Furthermore, brochures will be created on current affairs, culture and local traditions, and information material that will embrace the food and wine traditions and the characters who have brought prestige to the area.
