Ivana Trump is speaking publicly for the first time after news of the death of her fourth husband, model and TV personality Rossano Rubicondi , who was killed at the age of 49 from skin melanoma.

"I'm devastated," she told People magazine.

The two, 23 years apart, were married in 2008, after a six-year relationship, at the resort of Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach owned by Ivana's second husband and former US president Donald Trump.

They broke up after less than a year but never left for good. Three years ago they danced together on TV in Italy and even during the period of Rubicondi's illness she had been very close to him.

Roberto Alessi, director of Novella 2000 told this: “I really want to underline how well Ivana Trump behaved towards Rossano. In the last year he has given up on any kind of vacation, in Palm Springs or Saint Tropez, where he has a home, to stay close to Rossano. Apparently he went to her, even though he had a small apartment on 58th Street. And she paid all the medical expenses ”.
