Following the seismic swarm reported by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology , with a major event of magnitude 4.4 recorded at 8.10 pm, the Department of Civil Protection activated the Crisis Unit in connection with the municipalities of Naples, Pozzuoli and Bacoli, the Prefecture of Naples, the Campania Region, the National Operations Center and the Regional Fire Brigade Command.
No one was injured, but some damage to the buildings and some falling rubble were found. To guarantee assistance to the population, reception areas are being set up, civil protection volunteers are being activated to support local authorities and traffic controls are being strengthened.
The verification of the subservice networks and the activation of all coordination centers in connection with each other is also underway .

We, first of all, living in an internal area of Pozzuoli , decided to spend the night in the car. But what we saw yesterday happened very few times."
Giovanni says that after the strong tremor, the strongest in the last forty years, people «literally went crazy. When the aftershock occurred after the very strong one, people went berserk", continues Giovanni, "they started running into the street and, dangerously, they started driving the car trying to escape in every way possible . Thus chaos broke out. And so serious dangerous situations could be created." There's another point the guys make. «People are poorly informed, they don't know what to do, they don't know where to go, they don't know where the vanishing points are», continues Giovanni, «yesterday we only managed to know the magnitude of the tremor, the depth and nothing else. Nobody came to inform us on the street, even on social media there was little information. This is how panic is created among people."
