The toll of the dramatic shipwreck of a boat loaded with migrants that occurred two weeks ago in the waters in front of Cutro, in the province of Crotone, is further aggravated. Rescuers recovered the bodies of three other victims, two in the Praialonga area and one in the sea: they are two children of an unidentified age and a man.
The dead thus rise to 79: 33 minors and among them 24 in the age group between 0 and 12 years.
Yesterday a procession took place in the streets of Steccato di Cutro in which thousands of people took part. Passing by the beach of the massacre they laid a wreath of white flowers. Many knelt down to say a prayer.
