The seventh day of searches has begun for Giulia Cecchettin and Filippo Turetta , the two 22-year-olds who have disappeared since Saturday evening in the Venetian area. Fire fighters, carabinieri and around seventy volunteers, complete with molecular dogs and divers ready to go into action, divided the tasks along the axis between Veneto and Friuli. Canals, rivers and lakes are also being examined, with Civil Protection volunteers thoroughly cleaning the banks.

Yesterday there was a dramatic turning point in the investigation into the disappearance of the two ex-boyfriends. Filippo is under investigation for attempted murder and an international arrest warrant has been issued for him.

The registration was triggered by a short and terrible video, taken on Saturday night in the industrial area of Fossò, on the same road where hair and bloodstains were found.

In the footage taken by the video surveillance cameras of a company and acquired by investigators, Turetta is seen hitting Giulia with his bare hands while the two are arguing in the car. Then the girl tries to escape, he chases her, hits her again from behind while she screams ("Help, you're hurting me"), until she falls to the ground. In the end, Giulia, bleeding and helpless, is forcibly loaded into his black Fiat Punto by Filippo who then disappears into the night.

Sufficient elements for the Venice Prosecutor's Office to enter Turetta in the register, order a search, carried out for 3 and a half hours in the home of the young man's family, in Torreglia, in the province of Padua, and issue a search notice also at an international level .

An element, that of the video, which was a shock for Filippo's parents and which threw Giulia's family into despair . The father Gino Cecchettin collapsed, it was also very hard for the brothers Davide and Giulia, who however still cling to a thread of hope.

The case, initially opened due to the disappearance of a person, was therefore transformed into an investigation into attempted murder, aggravated because it was committed by the suspect against a girl with whom he had an emotional bond. Concern about Giulia's fate had been growing for days. It was known that the never-interrupted searches along the rivers and waterways of the north-east were now aimed at finding a body . Most likely because the investigators were already in possession of the video from the video surveillance cameras of the Dior factory in Fossò, 6 kilometers from Vigonovo, home of the Cecchettins, located in a street near which on Saturday night a telephone cell had connected Turetta's cell phone.
