First the ex-partner, then the ex-wife .

This is the terrible sequence of the murders committed yesterday by Zlatan Vasiljevic , the Bosnian who yesterday shot in Vicenza before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.

With the first victim, Gabriela Serrano , of Venezuelan origins, Vasiljevic had broken off a relationship a few months after the separation from Lidia Miljkovic .

According to the reconstruction of the investigators, Vasiljevic yesterday called Serrano early in the morning convincing her to join him from Rubano (Padua) to Vicenza with her car. He drove with her to the Vigogna district of Vicenza and killed her with a single blow to the back of the head.

With the woman's body still in the car, he arrived in via Vigolo and awaited the arrival of his ex-wife, killing her with a pistol . At that point he headed towards the Vicenza ring road and committed suicide with the same gun , which was illegally detained.

SOCIAL POSTS - "Man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed, but never defeated." And again: "Often a man suffers for a few years, he calms down, endures the most cruel punishments, and then falls down on little things, on some nonsense, almost for nothing". With quotes from Hemingway to Dostoevsky, Vasiljevic vented his anger on social media.

He was a dangerous individual and a rehabilitation course he had taken in a recovery community in Bassano was of no use. A support course for violent men at the end of which he was issued a certificate of participation which, according to Corriere del Veneto, had allowed him to obtain benefits with respect to the sentence served in prison after arrest in 2019 for mistreatment of the ex-wife.
