It was published in the Official Gazette after the signing of Sergio Mattarella and the latest anti-Covid decree law is in force as of today, also containing the vaccination obligation for over 50s.

In Italy there are 2,165,583 over 50s who have not yet received some dose of the vaccine, emerges from the weekly report published by the government.

In particular, 993,463 50-59 year olds, 616,595 60-69 year olds, 374,464 70-79 year olds and 181,061 over 80 year olds were discovered. In Sardinia, on the other hand, about 74 thousand over 50 year olds have not received any inoculation.

PENALTIES - The one-off penalty of 100 euros remains, it will be triggered for the over 50s who have not started the primary vaccination cycle from next February 1st; that "as of February 1 they have not completed the primary vaccination cycle"; or who, again starting from February 1, have not done “the booster dose following the primary cycle within the validity terms of the green certifications (six months, ed)”.

Those who do not vaccinate have 10 days from receiving the notice of the sanction to communicate to the ASL "any certification relating to the deferral or exemption from the vaccination obligation, or other reason of absolute and objective impossibility".

The 100 euro fine "is not the only one foreseen", the government specified after yesterday's controversy , with Roberto Burioni who spoke in no uncertain terms about a "mockery".

For workers over fifty without a reinforced Green pass, sources from Palazzo Chigi specify, "there is suspension from work without a salary and a fine from 600 to 1,500 euros in the case of access to workplaces in violation of the obligation", with sanction doubled "if the violation is repeated".

Furthermore, it is added, "the sanctions from 400 to 1000 euros already provided for all citizens in case of violation of the obligation of Green pass or Super Green pass for access to services, activities, means of transport apply".

OTHER 4 REGIONS IN YELLOW - Meanwhile, the epidemic situation in Italy continues to worsen day by day. Yesterday Minister Speranza signed the ordinance for the passage in the yellow zone from next Monday of the regions of Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Abruzzo and Valle d'Aosta.

The regions in the yellow zone thus become 15, six white ones: Sardinia, Basilicata, Campania, Umbria, Molise and Puglia.
