“ We have to go back to March 1984 to see such a figure ”, comments Istat.
The acceleration, continues Istat, "is mainly due to the prices of energy goods (from + 44.5% in September to + 73.2%) and, to a lesser extent, to those of food (from +11 , 4% to + 13.1%) ".
More generally, inflation on goods prices accelerates (from + 12.5% to + 17.9%), slows down on services (from + 3.9% to + 3.7%).
In terms of food, according to the latest data divided by city, Sassari and Olbia were among those with the highest increases (respectively + 12.6% and + 13.1%). These are numbers - the latter - relative to September, according to which inflation in Sardinia was higher than the national average even in catering services.
