The sea is always in the lead, with 44% of preferences which becomes 51% if we consider only the main holidays of 7 or more days. The mountains follow at 15% - a value in line with the history of this type - while holidays in cities, especially those of art, and in small villages, add up to 21%.

They remain in Italy, the most popular destination is Puglia, followed by Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Sicily.

Liguria is also among the top five.
