Block of the whole team if the number of positives is higher than 35% of the members of the athletes group; isolation for positives and continuous tests for 5 days for high-risk contacts, with the obligation to wear FFP2 if you do not participate in sports, regardless of the vaccination status. These are the main elements of the draft of the new anti-Covid protocol brought by the Undersecretary for Sport, Valentina Vezzali, to the State-Regions Conference.
As for low-risk contacts, the measures envisaged by the ministerial indications are to be applied, also in relation to the vaccination status. The text also insists on the need for tampons to be used for surveillance in compliance with the criteria defined by the Ministry of Health.
The new protocol - which will have to pass the scrutiny of the CTS - was designed to have safe and shared rules by all administrations, central and territorial, to guarantee equal treatment and give certainty to the continuation of sporting activities. However, these are temporary measures, to be gradually adapted to different scenarios and situations.
"A reasonable point of balance, to protect both the sports world and public health. This document will obviously be forwarded to the Scientific Technical Committee", the words of the Minister for Regional Affairs Mariastella Gelmini, speaking during the Conference.
"In recent days - recalled Gelmini - some meetings and technical tables were held that saw the participation of the main federations and the various components of the sports world, to settle the question relating to the measures to be applied to the professional world, in order to ensure continuation of the championships, with clear and uniform rules applied by the local health authorities. Following these meetings, an agreement was reached on the document that was sent to you ".
"I would like - he added - to thank all those who participated in this debate in a constructive way, in the awareness, which is common, of the importance of the entire Italian sports movement, also from an economic point of view. confirming the government's will to keep a high guard against the virus, without however blocking the championships as well as the productive activities ".
