Eternal love. It was 1989. Since then Checco Fele has coached Carbonia for two seasons in D and five in Serie C. Then also in Excellence. «I have always been in love with white and blue colors. I was born and live in Carbonia. I was also at Cagliari, as a Primavera coach. Among other things, there were Scarpi and Wilson, son of the Lazio player. When I left, Cagliari's sporting director Longo told me: If you want to train in the Peninsula, call me ».
The carreer. Fele, on the other hand, remained in Sardinia. In his career he also coached Atletico Cagliari for a short period, the San Marco di Cabras. He got three promotions with Carbonia, as a player he wore the shirts of Decimoputzu, Cortoghiana and Carbonia. He was a selector of the regional representatives and technical director, he was a manager of Carbonia and of the regional FIGC. «Two years ago, when Carbonia was promoted to Serie D, I called Andrea Colombino to make the team. It was he who brought the coach Marco Mariotti and those big players who last year made the fans dream. A man who really knows football ». Now is the director of Torres: "The Sassari will certainly reach the playoffs at least."

History. Behind this Carbonia, there is a past full of charm. In 1957, Carbosarda even played an Italian Cup match with Fiorentina. The football team crisis is linked to the mining crisis. Checco Fele has experienced that story firsthand especially as a coach. He led the team with players such as the former Cagliari Novellini, the late Roberto Sequi, Pietro Pillosu, Accardi, Pino Tocco, Giuseppe Mura, Gianni Tronci. That team landed in C2 some thirty years ago.
Nostalgia. «Great players», remembers Checco Fele with a hint of nostalgia. «It was one of Carbonia's last years among professionals. Then the return to Serie D, Excellence, Promotion, the First category ». Almost the end of a myth for a team as mentioned that in 1957 even hosted Fiorentina in the Italian Cup with players of the caliber of Montuori, Sarti, Magnini, Chiappella and Cervati. Then there was the legendary Carbosarda with Stefano Perati on the bench. At that time Cavallini, Zoboli, Conti, Braccini, Molinari, Trenzani, Pin, Serena, Bercarich, Gennari, Turotti played. And again Marchisio, Busetto, Michelucci. All people with experience in B and even in Serie A.
Back then, the city was rich. Serie C was played in a single group, from Trentino to Calabria, passing through Venice, Marzotto, Siena, Modena, Empoli, Molfetta. Stuff beyond belief. Carbosarda was also the protagonist of great derbies with Cagliari and Torres. Remember that nobody in Carbonia canceled.
