Thirty-one players have been called up for Cagliari's pre-training camp, which kicks off tomorrow at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. The main name, given transfer market concerns, is Gianluca Gaetano: his transfer to Atalanta is still in the final stages, but for now, he's still a full-fledged Rossoblu player. Zito Luvumbo, who has also been the subject of transfer rumors, is missing, while the new faces are midfielders Demi Akarakiri and Alessandro Romano.
Fabio Pisacane's team will remain at their training center this week and next, with physical tests (Thursday and Friday) and the first training sessions (starting Sunday). Cagliari will then move to Ponte di Legno for the actual training camp, scheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd, to Saturday, August 1st. Also missing from the squad are Riyad Idrissi, recovering from a serious knee injury, and Yerry Mina, who is still playing for Colombia at the World Cup.
