U.S. Judge Juan Merchan has postponed until after the presidential election his decision on Donald Trump's sentence in the case of black market payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The verdict with the quantification (the tycoon risks up to 4 years in prison) was scheduled for September 18. Instead, everything was postponed to November 26.

Trump welcomed the judge's decision. But he did not give up on controversy: in a post on his social media site Truth, the Republican candidate for the White House reiterated that it was "a witch hunt" against him and asked that the case "be annulled" based on the US Supreme Court's ruling on immunity.
