Foreign fighter from Selargius killed in Ukraine, he was 25 years old

Manuel Mameli, 25 years old from Selargius, was killed in Ukraine . Confirmation came from informed sources.

The information on Mameli, born in 2000 in Cagliari, was provided by his comrades to the Italian Embassy and to the family of the young man, who fought against the Russians in the International Legion and was therefore regularly enrolled in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Having died in a combat area under Russian control, his body cannot be recovered .

The attack reportedly took place in eastern Ukraine, near Pokrovsk, Mameli was killed by a Russian drone and five other people died with him, while another Italian volunteer was injured .

The Italian Embassy in Kiev, in close contact with the Farnesina, is providing all possible assistance to the family members.

It is Antonio Omar Dridi , a 34-year-old from Palermo.
