Italian motorcyclist dies when his father runs over him in Austria
They were going to a BMW rally in Germany, the victim was 34 years old

Tragedy for an Italian family in Austria.
A 34-year-old young man, Gabriele Gottardi from Grumello del Monte (Bergamo), died after being hit by the motorbike driven by his 68-year-old father Luciano.
The two were headed to Garmisch, Germany, together with a group of people to participate in the European BMW rally.
Having arrived in Val Passiria, in Alto Adige, they entered Austria by taking the Ötztaler Bundesstrasse, the federal road to Germany. The accident occurred outside the village of Längenfeld.
According to the reconstruction of the Tyrolean police, one of the motorcyclists suddenly braked to enter a petrol station. Gabriele Gottardi, who was following him, fell. The motorcyclist who was behind managed to get out of the way in time but Luciano, who had his view covered, only found his son on the ground at the last moment and was unable to do anything but run him over, before falling himself. For Gabriele Gottardi there was nothing that could be done.
