The Russian Supreme Court has accepted the Ministry of Justice's request to outlaw the international LGBT movement in the country, defining it as "extremist" and banning any activity in the Federation. This was reported by the Ria Novosti agency.

The news sparked immediate reactions, including from the United Nations, which said it "deplores" the decision of the Supreme Court in Moscow.

In recent days, the Russian Interior Ministry has also prepared a bill according to which foreigners entering the country should sign what is called a "loyalty pact" with which, as the Tass agency explained, themselves undertake not to "interfere in the activities of the Russian public authorities" and to "not discredit in any form the external and internal state policies of Russia".
