The 51 crew members of the Euroferry Olympia are still in Corfu, the ship on board which a fire broke out at dawn last Friday while traveling from Igoumenitsa to Brindisi. The crew is made up of 43 Italians and 8 Greeks.

The 51 seafarers will remain in Greece at the moment, as confirmed by the shipping company Grimaldi Lines, where they will presumably be heard by the judicial authority, to provide their contribution to the investigations launched by the Corfu Prosecutor's Office. The company has in fact reiterated that it is available to investigators.

At the moment, we always learn from Grimaldi, the ship is not subject to seizure and the main concern of the rescuers, but also of the company itself, is to try to save other lives and track down the 10 missing people.

A 58-year-old Greek truck driver was found dead and charred inside his truck: his son identified him thanks to a pendant and a tattoo. A 21-year-old Belarusian was found alive yesterday morning, after two days spent aboard the ship ravaged by flames. The young man is hospitalized "as a precaution" in the Pulmonary Clinic of the general hospital in Corfu with "signs of dehydration".

It is not yet clear what could be the next destination of the wreck on which investigations will have to be carried out to establish how the fire that destroyed the ferry developed.
