The debut match for the brand-new Dinamo Women is already a challenging one. On Thursday, the Sassari-based team will play in Thessaloniki against Panathlitikos Sykeon (7:15 p.m.) in the first leg of the Women's Eurocup Qualifying Round. The return leg is scheduled for September 24th at the PalaSerradimigni.

It's the first official match for the revamped Sassari team, which has retained only point guard Carangelo and changed coaches and all the players. New coach Paolo Citrini explains: "We don't have one star, but many players who can be decisive. We must face this challenge with courage, so as not to have any regrets."

Dinamo Women will be without center Asley Egwoh, who is playing with the Italian national team in the 3x3 World Cup being held in Japan.
