Venezia FC has officially announced the dismissal of coach Giovanni Stroppa. Under his guidance, the Venetian club achieved promotion to Serie A last season. Last night's defeat in Bergamo, the sixth consecutive, proved fatal.

"The Orange and Green club would like to thank Giovanni Stroppa and his staff for their hard work, professionalism, dedication, and commitment throughout their time at the club," wrote the club's president, Francesca Bodie.
