208 events planned in the three-year period 2022 - 2024 for approximately 60 million euros .

These are the data relating to the investment that the Region of Sardinia has decided to put in place, focusing on a sector capable of seasonally adjusting the island and bringing it to the top of the preferences of tourists and visitors. This morning, at the Doglio Theater in Cagliari , the press conference was held to present the program of identity and traditional events and events, entertainment and culture , sports and tourism , financed by law 7 .

«These are figures that have never been spent before and in this way we will provide services , to Sardinia and to the tourists who will come, who will go beyond the sea . This is the dream that I would like to cherish and make Sardinia live all year round», says the Tourism Councilor Gianni Chessa .

In fact, there are many initiatives that are taking place in the last period on the island, beyond what is the classic summer offer. Events related to sport, culture, traditional and territorial identity, gastronomy: many opportunities to discuss together with the sector operators present at the conference, who become active protagonists of a Sardinian economy that increasingly wants to bet on tourism.

«This year we have decided – continues the councilor – to put the accent on cycle tourism as well. There will be many news from February onwards ». In February, in fact, there will also be an announcement regarding a big event that will then take place next autumn. For the moment, however, everything remains top secret . For the Region, what matters is to summarize the steps that have just been taken and the forthcoming programming.

The doubt, however, always remains the same and it is the one that is inextricably linked to the theme of transport. «More than complaints, we need proposals . The transport problem in Sardinia is a historical problem, but we cannot afford to block our land and make it inaccessible after the summer», concludes Chessa.
