The change in the Statute is a crucial step because it defines Sardinia's position towards the State. It is essential to find a balance: the State must not retreat, but the Region must be able to fully exercise its autonomy. This is a process that cannot be decided behind closed doors, but must be developed together with the Council and the citizens, with transparency and vision.

This was stated by the President of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, speaking in Cagliari at the two-day event organized by Democratic Party Senator Marco Meloni, "Let's take stock."

"With this right-wing government, every time there's talk of reforms or national interest, Sardinia is systematically marginalized. Now is the time," Todde emphasized, "to forcefully reaffirm our region's right to influence the country's strategic decisions."
