Another cabinet meeting without the Democratic Party: for the second time in a matter of days, the party with the largest majority ignored Governor Alessandra Todde's summons , accentuating last Sunday's rift over healthcare. This time, crucial issues weren't on the executive's agenda (contributions to cattle fairs, resolutions on the ARST network, and little else), but the symbolic significance of the Democratic Party's absences amounts to a stern warning to the president .
Todde's decision to move forward with the appointment of the general directors of the Cagliari and Olbia local health authorities clearly remains a factor, despite the doubts about its legitimacy expressed by the regional secretary of the Democratic Party, Silvio Lai . The fact that the three Democratic councilors (Giuseppe Meloni, Rosanna Laconi, and Emanuele Cani) did not participate in the extraordinary meeting that appointed the managers could have been motivated by a desire not to sign a dubious resolution.

But now the prolonged desertion reveals a political divergence that borders on a full-blown crisis in the majority .

And in fact, the opposition immediately attacks: "The legislature is at a crossroads," says Fausto Piga of the Brothers of Italy , "the feeling is that it won't be the case of his expulsion that will send Todde home, but his own majority." "The legislature is at the end of the line," also according to FdI MP Francesco Mura , while the regional secretary of the League, Michele Ennas , states that "Sardinian healthcare has been transformed into an irresponsible battleground between the parties of the Campo largo."
No statement has yet been made from the Democratic Party. Meanwhile, Agriculture Councillor Francesco Agus (Progressives) , who was also absent from the Council last Sunday but is present today, warned: "We have every possible good will to encourage a strengthening of our action and the necessary recompositions , also considering the Democratic Party's indispensable role within the Progressive Coalition."

No official statement has been made by Todde either, but sources within the Five Star Movement have announced that a meeting is planned in the next few hours between the M5S and PD secretariats , both at the national and regional levels: the governor will then summarise the situation and convene a majority summit.
