Staff and salaries, M5S parliamentarians: "We inherited a disaster, we need to strengthen the administrative system."
The Five Star Movement, following the controversy over the implementation of the "seat-filling" law: "At Todde's inauguration, the PNRR will have a 4% share and 30% staff. We won't accept moral lessons from those who have damaged Sardinia."The Regional Palace on Viale Trento

The M5S parliamentarians are also taking the field in defense of Alessandra Todde in the midst of the storm over the golden salaries of the regional staff triggered by Beppe Grillo , who has pointed the finger at the Five Star Movement's application of the "seat-filling law" promoted by Christian Solinas.
"When the Todde government took office, the PNRR projects were stuck at 4%, the Region was working with 30% fewer staff than its full capacity, and all the main dossiers were blocked," Five Star Movement deputies and senators claim. " Healthcare was in disarray, transport was at a standstill, the call for tenders on territorial continuity was a failure, industrial policy was non-existent, and the path was being paved for water privatization."
The statement continues: " Young people had disappeared from the regional agenda, employment was at its lowest, and the only thing that was growing was job insecurity. This is the legacy the current government has inherited and is addressing."
The parliamentarians are convinced that " today Sardinia is returning to being a region that puts citizens first, not the interests of a few. Strengthening the administrative system was essential to recovering delays and restarting projects that others had left on paper." And for this reason, a team of consultants and collaborators has reportedly been called upon.
"We won't take lessons from those who have brought Sardinia to its knees for five years and are now improvising as champions of Sardinian rights," the M5S MPs continue, "especially since we're talking about representatives of the parties that lead the national government, the same government that is treating the island as a land of sacrifice: on Article 41 bis, on security, and on an overall approach that penalizes Sardinia. If the center-right truly cares about the Sardinians, it should start defending them in Rome."
