In a tight spot, Cagliari played a solid game and drew 1-1 at Parma. Folorunsho, returning to the field after two months, scored 108 seconds after coming on with a spectacular strike from the wing, before the former Oristanio player equalized.
Cagliari played a 3-5-2 and Liteta returned after three months since his last appearance . Kılıçsoy immediately hit the post, but was clearly offside. The Turk, however, produced a brilliant move in the 9th minute, skipping past an opponent in the box and firing with his left foot, only to be saved by Corvi. Esposito pounced on the rebound, but Delprato blocked it in the center of the box.
Cagliari got off to a good start, with Parma struggling to hold on to striker Pellegrino , who made his mark in the 13th minute with a header wide from a corner. A minute later, Ordóñez attempted a weak shot, but it went wide. In the 17th minute, the Gialloblù protested mildly after a clash between Britschgi and Liteta. Referee Massimi allowed play to continue, but there wasn't much to justify the penalty call.
The first yellow card came in the 21st minute, following a foul by the returning Rodríguez on Keita, who had skipped past him. Three minutes later, Esposito broke free on the edge of the box to take a shot: it went over. Shortly after the half-hour mark, in the 33rd minute, Palestra skipped past two opponents, but Keita's run into the box managed to block the number 2's attempt : it was a corner, which Cagliari failed to capitalize on.
The best chance of the first half came in the 39th minute, but it came from a corner that Cagliari couldn't get, thanks to a clear deflection by Troilo on Sulemana's long-range shot. Parma broke back and the ball fell to Pellegrino in the penalty area, who brilliantly headed the ball past Zé Pedro and fired a left-footed shot from the penalty spot: Caprile did a fantastic job in preventing the score from being 1-0 . Before the corner, which was unsuccessful, Dossena was booked for protesting (he was asking for the previous corner).
Cagliari are back in the 42nd minute, with Kılıçsoy entering the box from the left and crossing to Corvi, who again blocks with his foot. Then, as the move continues, Esposito falls in the box, but Massimi rules out the foul. The half-time break follows a minute of added time .
The second half saw Parma shaken up: Delprato and Ordóñez were replaced by former Oristanio players and Nicolussi Caviglia, switching to a 4-3-3 . However, Pisacane's team emerged the better of the break, coming close to taking the lead in the 52nd minute. Sulemana, fed by Palestra, released Obert on the left with a splendid backheel. The full-back, instead of shooting, crossed to the far post for Esposito, who controlled and fired, only to be saved by Corvi.
Folorunsho had half an hour left in his legs, and Pisacane sent him on in the 61st minute, returning after his injury against Pisa on December 21st: Kılıçsoy came off. The number 90's first touch was a back-heel, and his second was sensational: he controlled the ball on the right, advanced down the flank, charged up, and with an impressive downward trajectory, he curled the ball past Corvi's goal from the other side, just under the crossbar, almost into the top corner . An exceptional goal, one that risks quickly going viral, and the best possible return to the pitch for Folorunsho: 0-1 in the 63rd minute.
Caprile made another great save in the 67th minute, taking down a free kick from the edge of the box by Bernabé (fouled by Sulemana, who was booked, on Nicolussi Caviglia). The free kick hit the post hard, but he saved it with his hand . After another set piece, touched in by Valeri's low left-footed shot that went wide, Cuesta put Estévez in for Keita.
Parma stayed in the game and found the perfect opportunity to equalize in the 83rd minute, with a rebound (an unfortunate touch by Esposito) favoring the former Oristanio player on the right for a left-footed winner that Caprile was unable to clear . For the final three minutes, Pavoletti and Idrissi also came on for Esposito, while Sulemana replaced Valeri in the 90th minute. Another former Parma player, Franco Carboni, replaced Valeri, while Cremaschi replaced Bernabé. In the third of five minutes of added time, Troilo came off with an injury, but Parma had run out of substitutions and finished with ten men, except for the final move (a corner), where Troilo came back but was unable to serve.
