Solanas celebrates St. Joseph: "New beginning after the pandemic"

Feast in honor of St. Joseph from today to August 14 in Solanas , a tourist district of Sinnai. The program foresees for tomorrow, at 7 pm, the procession from the parish to the church of San Giuseppe. Following the Mass in Piazza San Giuseppe which will be celebrated by Don Gianni Sanna. At 8.45 pm inauguration of the missionary exhibition at the environmental center.
THE AGENDA - On Friday 12 August at 7.30 pm Holy Mass in honor of St. Joseph. At 9.30 pm opera concert The Magic Flute by Mozart in the Madonna della Fiducia square.
Saturday 13 August at 7.30 pm Holy Mass. At 8.30 pm procession along via piazza San Giuseppe via dei Gelsomini, via delle Rose, via delle Gardenie, via Is Pranus and via al Mare and return to the parish. At 10pm fireworks show on the beach.
Sunday 14 August at 8.30 Holy Mass for the deceased members of the San Giuseppe committee. At 8.15 pm Holy Mass in honor of the Assumption. At 9.15 pm torchlight procession of the Assumption from the parish to the house of the nuns "La Scogliera".
THE COMMITTEE - The board of the San Giuseppe committee has been renewed after the death of Salvatore Monni. The president is Massimo Lebiu, deputy Gianpiero Serra, secretary Francesco Mannai, treasurer Gianluca Rubiu, auditors Fabrizio Olla, Stefano Rubiu, Mauro Atzori and Efisio Cambarau.
“After about 40 years, the festival will largely take place in Piazza San Giuseppe”, says the new president of the Committee of San Giuseppe, Massimo Lebiu , “where the small church that has been restored is located. It is a new beginning after these years of pandemic ”.
