This evening, at the Teuliè Military School in Milan, Torres will receive the 2024-25 Gentleman Fair Play Award, now in its 30th edition.

The prestigious award was given to the Sassari club for supporting Carpi and its fans during the home match on April 21, 2025 at the Vanni Sanna stadium, valid for the 37th matchday of the championship, postponed following the death of Pope Francis to April 23.

On that occasion, the club, led by Pierluigi Pinna, Andrea Maddau, and president Stefano Udassi, immediately took action to provide Carpi with logistical support, including a training ground, a shuttle service from the pitch to the hotel, as well as laundry service and accommodation for visiting fans.

This significant gesture of solidarity, aimed at alleviating the inconvenience caused to the guests by having to stay an additional two days in Sassari, given the impracticality of returning to Emilia, was not lost on the Gentleman Award jury and quickly spread throughout Italy.
