Torres had a disappointing debut, losing 4-1 to Spezia. The Ligurian team, recently relegated from Serie B, eliminated Greco's Rossoblu.

Spezia dominated the first half, with Berto already clearing the ball off the line in the opening minutes after Cazzadori's shot.
