The historic photographer from Senorbì died, a true expert in photographic reproduction that he developed directly according to the traditional methods of the dark room. Costantino Carracino was 94 years old, turned at the end of last January. In his profession he was a true pioneer, owner of a historic photographic studio located in the heart of the town, in via Carlo Sanna.
Born in Pollica (in the province of Salerno, Campania) on January 16, 1928, he moved to Sardinia when he was very young. He was among the first two professional photographers of Senorbì (the other was Ignazio Puddu, who died a year ago at the age of 87), with his shots he accompanied the growth and transformation of the Trexenta center from a small town dedicated to agriculture and livestock to the small town of commerce and services that it still is today.
Many in Trexenta had chosen him to immortalize the most important moments of their lives, from baptisms, to communions and confirmations, or to weddings or just for a portrait in his photographic studio where some of his most beautiful shots were exhibited. A page was dedicated to him in the book "Senorbì - Segments of memory in the summer solstice: arts, crafts and professions" published by the municipal administration a few years ago. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3.30 pm in the parish church of Santa Barbara, the parish priest Don Nicola Ruggeri will celebrate the funeral mass.
