Wind power, Government-Region clash: moratorium on appeal

The Council of Ministers is ready to challenge the Sardinian moratorium law against renewable energy production plants.
The agenda published on the Palazzo Chigi website, so far, does not mention the rule which, in the intentions of the Council led by Alessandra Todde, should suspend the authorizations for 18 months (without affecting wind and photovoltaic which already have the green light and for which work has already started), but the item "regional laws" to be brought before the Constitutional Court is included. And, according to what transpires from Rome, the clash with the Region before the Consultation is considered inevitable and imminent, given the deadline (maximum 60 days from approval) and the August holidays.
Mentioned, however, is the preliminary examination of the "Discipline regarding administrative regimes for the production of energy from renewable sources" decree, which should provide guidelines for the repowering of existing plants: authorization will be required - also from the Superintendency – to place larger blades where the turbines are already in action.
