Wind turbines change the Sardinian landscape even before they are installed. Because the gigantic steel pillars and rotors have to be transferred from the landing ports to the place where they are to be placed. On the state roads there are overpasses, which are too low, and along the other arteries there are traffic islands, trees on the roadside and further obstacles: everything must be removed to allow exceptional transport of the shovels.

At the exit of the Oristano airport - where the giants destined for the revamping of already operational wind farms are still located - the flowerbeds have been leveled and numerous plants have been cut down: operations, carried out in these hours, which should have all the authorizations required part of the relevant bodies.

But it's only the beginning. The mayor of Villanovaforru, Maurizio Onnis, publishes the documents that accompany the project for the construction of a plant in his municipality, on the proposal of Enel Green Power: «Only on the stretch of 131 that reaches our crossroads from the docks», explains the first citizen , "there are 14 overpasses that do not allow the transit of pylons and wind turbines" .

For everyone, he explains, «what the technicians of the “green” company write is valid: “The aforementioned overpasses will have to be overcome with appropriate assessments of the surrounding area and subsequent solutions , such as bypass designs”». According to Onnis, «in short, we will go by bulldozer. Imagine what they will do to the country roads that go up into our hills. They will break the bank and disembowel without rest. It's hard to believe that all this is done in the name of the energy transition. It's easier to think that the god of money is speaking."
