One of the drivers involved in the accident that occurred late yesterday evening on Provincial Road 17, on the outskirts of Villasimius, was drunk. One of the vehicles involved, after the collision, hit a boy from Selargius who was waiting for the Arst bus at the bus stop: after an initial moment of concern, his conditions were not serious upon arrival at the hospital.

The impact occurred at kilometer 32, near Capo Boi. According to the reconstruction of the Villasimius carabinieri, the collision involved an off-road vehicle, driven by a fifty-seven-year-old, and a small car, driven by a thirty-five-year-old. Initial checks revealed that the first vehicle invaded the opposite lane, colliding with the small car that was coming at that moment. The impact caused the second vehicle to overturn, ending up on top of the boy.

An ambulance from 118 transported the injured man to Brotzu. The military instead subjected both drivers to breathalyzer tests: the driver of the off-road vehicle tested positive with a blood alcohol level higher than the regulation and was reported.
