Villasimius, the woman injured in the explosion of the boat at the port operated

The 57-year-old woman who was injured in the ankle in the explosion of the boat in the port of Villasimius underwent surgery.

The intervention was successful.

The wound had appeared particularly serious . Her husband who was with her on the boat at the time of the explosion had only sustained a minor injury from a shrapnel.

The explosion occurred in the engine compartment with the ignition of the electrical panel which also fed the water autoclave.

The man and the woman were immediately rescued, with the woman transferred by helicopter rescue to the Brotzu where she was operated on.
