The 44-year-old motorcyclist from Cagliari, injured after a flight on the embankment of the provincial road 17 , at kilometer 29.700, in the territory of Villasimius, in the Porto Sa Ruxi area, was transferred in red code to the Brotzu hospital.

The man was hospitalized, suffered several traumas but would not be in danger of life .

The investigations were carried out by the carabinieri of Villasimius and the mobile radio unit of the Compagnia di San Vito, coordinated by Major Massimo Meloni.

No other means were involved in the accident.

The 44-year-old was on board a BMW S100: he suddenly lost control of it and ended up in the escarpment. The bike instead crawled on the asphalt for a long time before stopping, fortunately without impacting with other means.

The alarm was immediate with the arrival of the 118 helicopter rescue and the fire brigade. It was the helicopter rescue operators, with the help of the firefighters, who brought the injured person back to the street. Then the flight to the hospital in red code and the hospitalization of the injured person for the investigation of the case . The carabinieri, in addition to dealing with the investigations, also had to direct the traffic which became particularly intense with the return home of numerous bathers and vacationers.
