A semi-trailer belonging to an Emilia-Romagna transport company overturned on State Road 125, near Villaputzu. The truck, loaded with bricks, was headed to Ogliastra. The driver, a local from Ogliastra, was uninjured.

For reasons still under investigation, the experienced driver apparently lost control of the truck, which ended up in a ditch in the Villaputzu area, a few kilometers from the border with Ogliastra.

The driver's drowsiness has not been ruled out as one of the causes. Carabinieri and Anas personnel were on the scene.

The road, where cranes from a specialized company are working to recover the heavy vehicle, is still blocked. According to reports, it will take several more hours to restore traffic (traffic from Cagliari to Ogliastra has been diverted towards Perdasdefogu).
