The Carabinieri of Villamar arrested a 36-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, for aggravated theft . The man was caught by officers immediately after he had unlawfully entered the Villamar Comprehensive School.

According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the 36-year-old forced entry and then headed to the school's vending machines, from which he stole snacks and sandwiches. Following the incident, the Carabinieri decided to extend their search to the individual's home, where they found a microscope and other teaching materials . Immediate checks allowed them to link the material to previous thefts, all from the same school building.

Once the incident had been reconstructed, the man was accompanied to the barracks and, at the end of the ritual formalities, he was transferred to the Court of Cagliari for the hearing with a fast-track procedure , as ordered by the Judicial Authority.
