He tore a gold necklace worth around 150 euros from the neck of a boy who was walking with his girlfriend in Via Roma.

A 19-year-old Tunisian already known to the police was arrested together with a girl from Cagliari last night by the carabinieri of the Cagliari Company.

The events took place shortly after 6 pm, when the victim - a 17-year-old boy residing in Monserrato - was walking with his girlfriend in Via Roma. The minor noticed the stranger in the company of a woman and immediately after the latter tore the necklace from his neck and then ran away.

Pursued by the same victim, he threatened her, grabbed her backpack and hit her in the shoulder, while his complicity threatened the 17-year-old's girlfriend.

The carabinieri quickly tracked down the perpetrator in via Lepanto and took him, together with the girl, to the Command in via Nuoro. There, too, the 19-year-old threatened the carabinieri, even earning a complaint for threatening a public official before being transferred together with his accomplice to the Uta prison.
