Two injured, one in very serious condition, are the toll from a bad accident that took place shortly before 5.30 pm on the 131 DCN, at kilometer 30, in the direction of Abbasanta.

A flatbed van, carrying three people, went off the road – perhaps also due to wet asphalt – just before the crossroads for Orotelli , crashing into the embankment that runs along the state road.

According to initial information,   the vehicle would have overturned and the driver, a thirty-year-old from the province of Oristano, was thrown out of the passenger compartment after the impact, ending up on a stone.

Emergency services arrived immediately, with the 118 operators who had to revive him after a cardiac arrest: the thirty-year-old was urgently transferred to the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital, in red code.

In the first phase of the intervention of doctors and firefighters, the roadway was closed to traffic by the Nuoro traffic police: around 18.15 a lane was reopened.
