Vaccines for children, immediately an open day in Cagliari: tomorrow from 14 to 19

The Region wastes no time. As soon as 36 thousand pediatric doses of Pfizer vaccine arrive, the first Open day has already been organized.
It will be held tomorrow, December 16, in Cagliari from 2 pm to 7 pm in the dedicated hub in the congress center of the Fiera di Sardegna. The open day is reserved for 5-11 year olds, therefore those born between 2010 and 2016 who have already turned 5 years old.
Also on Thursday 16, starting from noon, reservations open for the same age group. They can be made through the Poste Italiane platform, via the web at http://prenotazioni.vaccinicovid.gov.it/ or toll-free number 800 00 99 66 (active every day from 8 to 20), or through postmen or the ATMs of Poste Italiane.
For those who have booked, it will start tomorrow in Alghero and Iglesias, while in Oristano the first administrations will be carried out on Friday. And on Saturday the vaccination points of Northern Sardinia, those of Ozieri, Sassari (Rizzeddu) and Olbia are added. In Nuoro it starts on Sunday 19th, in San Gavino on 21st and in Tempio on December 22nd.
30,000 more pediatric vaccines landed on the island this morning than the 6,000 initially planned. Another 18 thousand doses are expected in mid-January, and to these are added another 37,440 doses for other age groups.
“We are ready to tackle this new phase of the campaign too - says President Solinas - and this is demonstrated by the constantly growing numbers of the last few weeks. Our commitment to defend Sardinia from the threat of variants remains total ".
The data: over 300 thousand “booster” doses, but the first doses also grow, explains Solinas. To date, 1,285,000 people have received at least one dose on the island, we are talking about 87.4% of the vaccinable population.
"Sardinia is ready to open also to this new phase of the vaccination campaign - declares the regional health councilor, Mario Nieddu -, tomorrow the bookings will start and the vaccination of fragile pediatric patients will be a priority for whom sessions dedicated to the Brotzu and Aou di Sassari, who will directly call the little ones to be treated at their centers ".
