The Oristano Forestry Corps seized a waste and scrap yard and reported a 44-year-old in Tramatza . The case for the alleged illegal waste management has already been filed with the Public Prosecutor's Office.

For some time now, the men of the Investigative Unit of the Forestry Inspectorate of Oristano had noticed unusual movements in the vicinity of the warehouse located a few steps from Carlo Felice, at the height of Tramatza. A coming and going of vehicles from which various materials were unloaded until the blitz a few days ago . The agents carried out a thorough inspection of the premises, where they found a huge quantity of waste of all kinds. Inside , exhausted batteries, iron, electrical cables, plastics, mechanical and internal parts of cars, engines, air conditioners, washing machines, tires and other materials had been piled up.

After various investigations it emerged that the owner of the company was only authorized to trade in scrap metal but did not have the necessary authorization for the storage and depot of materials. The premises (rented to the owner of the company) were immediately seized , with all the waste piled up inside. The man was instead reported for illegal waste management. A crime for which, as the forestry corps reminds us, penalties range from six months to two years of arrest and a fine ranging from 2,600 to 26,000 euros .
The operation of the Investigative Unit is only one of the latest completed in recent weeks and is part of a series of checks that the Forestry Corps carries out throughout the province to combat illegal management but also the abandonment of waste. "It is possible to report any anomalous or suspicious situations to 1515" the Forestry Corps reminds us.
