Four cats were killed by stray dogs in Torre delle Stelle .
They were found dead in the courtyard of a house and in some streets of the tourist village. Some were mauled and killed, others disemboweled, to the concern of residents .
«The situation worries us - says Franco Iurato, president of the New Torre delle Stelle association -: there is a colony of stray dogs that is often stationed in Via Croce del Sud who, hungry and abandoned, continue to wreak havoc on cats. The problem needs to be addressed . Immediately. Let's talk about hungry dogs. Among the requests, the capture of the strays and their entrustment to the kennels where they will be able to have all the necessary care and attention ».
Other residents ask for anonymity, but say: «We have found two other new mangled cats, the latest in a long series. The problem of stray dogs in Torre remains worrying. So far, nothing has been done to stem the stray invasion. Puppies have recently been rescued: the real problem is the recovery of stray dogs, which have been a public danger for years. A phenomenon that has not yet been resolved and which deserves the attention of the Municipalities and all the bodies in charge».
