Todde puts Abbanoa in his sights: «It behaves like a private company, now under new management»
The President of the Region: «Too many disservices and waste, little transparency and distance from the mayors: it must return to being a public resource»Alessandra Todde defines it as "a debated assembly" that of the members of Abbanoa, Region in the lead, which took place this morning. The water manager's budget has been approved, but the appointments of the members of the new board of directors have not been received. But the President of the Region clarifies that the water company in Sardinia is in the crosshairs: «It must no longer behave like a private company, it must return to being a public resource. More transparent and closer to the mayors, now frustrated because they complain about the state of the network and the lacking services."
The governor's statements arrive in the evening. Before explaining his line, Todde lets the numbers speak for themselves, «because the data doesn't lie. We discussed how the company has performed over the years. And now there is too much distance with the Municipalities and the Region. We have 53% of the network leaking our water. 70% of the resource ends up in the countryside and only 27% is used in the civil sector: the countryside must be irrigated differently, not with drinking water."
Todde then announces: «From this moment on, a new departure will be established, a new way of managing the company».
