New hearing today in Cagliari as part of the trial on alleged threats and defamation of Matteo Salvini in which Mauro Aresu, a 37-year-old Sardinian activist, is being investigated, in relation to a post on Facebook in which he evoked piazzale Loreto a few days before the leader of the League arrived in Cagliari on a visit in 2017.

Judge Cristina Ornano had listened to the commissioner of the time, a Digos executive and an expert from the Postal Police: the intent was to understand if the security measures had been interfered with after the posting of the message on the social network. He had also urged that Fabook be asked a specific request, that is, if in addition to Aresu (defended by Marcella Cabras) there were other people who as administrators were authorized to write about that group.

The Postal Police explained that it did not receive the requested response from the social network as it would not have useful material to provide feedback to the requirements.

Meanwhile, Salvini filed a civil action with the lawyer Flavia Eccher of Trento.

The trial was adjourned to March 25 for the discussion of the prosecutor, the civil and defense parties.
