Thieves in action at the Antonianum Basket in Quartu: a defibrillator stolen

Thieves in action in the Antonianum Basket sports center in via Monsignor Angioni in Quartu Sant'Elena.
First they climbed over the gates, then they entered the kiosk in the courtyard, devastating it and also taking away a defibrillator. They took drinks, pods, various material and then ran away, convinced they weren't seen. However, they hadn't taken into account the video surveillance system of the sports facility: the thieves were filmed and now all the images are being analysed.
“If they repent and return the defibrillator to us - says Alessandro Secci, head of outdoor activities - we are willing to forgive them and not report them. This is definitely a joke but the defibrillator is important. That's why we hope they put a hand on their conscience and bring it back to where it was.'
A few months ago the defibrillator placed in Viale Colombo was also stolen. In that case the equipment, which the thieves had finally wanted to get rid of, had been found torn to pieces not far away in via Mercadante.
