The story of the little Gonnesa shark has sparked a wave of controversy. A first version of the events that took place yesterday spoke of the rescue of the animal by some swimmers but Enrico Rizzi, a well-known influencer and animal rights leader, wants to see clearly and has hired a law firm to ascertain the contours of the story.

In the images of a video circulated on social media, the lawyer Alessio Cugini Borgese writes, “several bathers are portrayed on the seashore: some of the latter are intent on dragging what appears to be a small shark out of the water. The animal appears visibly suffering , so much so that it even arouses the indignation of other bathers present, who ask those who - smiling - had pulled it out of the water to put it back. Now, it is clear that the conduct of those who ensured that the unfortunate animal was literally torn away from its habitat, subjecting it to completely useless torture and become, due to the mockery of its tormentors, certainly integrates the hypothesis of crime referred to in art. 544-ter of the Criminal Code (which punishes those who cause torture or injury to an animal, ed). Given the completion of the aforementioned hypothesis of crime, it is hereby required to ascertain the fact that the rightful identification of the persons in charge who made and posted the video online, so as to refer them to the competent Public Prosecutor's Office ".

The request, it is specified, was sent to the postal police of Sardinia and to the carabinieri of Gonnesa.
