The emergency room at the "San Giuseppe" hospital in Isili is now open again: the announcement from the Cagliari Local Health Authority (ASL) comes after its closure last Saturday, July 4th, caused—according to the hospital's management— by a sudden shortage of medical staff "who could not be replaced within the timeframe."

Citizen protection "has nevertheless remained guaranteed thanks to the immediate activation of the 118 network, the provision of continuity of care, and the connection with the relevant emergency rooms," assures the health authority, which has already launched further expressions of interest to recruit new doctors, in collaboration with the Region and Ares.

"The goal is to jointly develop a summer action plan and implement structural solutions to stabilize staffing and strengthen the services provided at the Isili facility."
