The rangers of the Teulada Forestry stopped him as he was going home in his car, returning from a dive in the waters of Campionna.

On board he had a box with 109 freshly picked sea urchins. A sports fisherman from Villa San Pietro ended up in trouble: a fine ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 euros was triggered for him.

«Despite the growing collective sensitivity for the protection of the environment», the Forest Service informs us, «there are still illegal acts affecting the stock of sea urchins, both by tourists and by local fishermen. As known», is the warning, «the overt shortage of sea urchins constitutes a severe criticality for marine biodiversity».
